Blue Moon Promise by Colleen Coble

Blue Moon Promise is an enjoyable read by Coble.  The story of an older sister trying to care for and protect her siblings by committing to a proxy marriage.  There is murder, mystery and love all wrapped up in these pages set on the Texas frontier.

Marta's Legacy Series by Francine Rivers

Her Mother's Hope (Book 1), Her Daughter's Dream (Book 2)

Yay, I finished the Marta's Legacy series by Rivers and it was absolutely wonderful!  I loved the characters and the enfolding story of their lives and relationships.  There is so much depth and truth and just real life found in these pages... I hope you will enjoy them as much as I did!  I will warn you once you jump in be prepared to watch to read through both books right away.  You will find their story captivates you and makes you think long after you have turned the last page.

A Culmination of Good Reads

So it has been a while, umm a long while since I posted on my reads and I will have to apologize for not being able to tell you more about each of the following books as it has been quiet a while since I read some of them but then some are just so memorable they stick with you. They are all 4-5 star books and I enjoyed each of them and hope you will too!

A Heart Revealed by Julie Lessman ~ I am a big fan of Lessman as you know and she did not disappoint me with her latest book.  It has been several months now since I read it but Emma and Sean's story is worth the read.  I can't wait for her next book!

Love on the Line by Deeanne Gist ~ I remember that it was a good read with wonderful characters.  I so wish I could go into more depth but again it has been several months since I read it but I know that I liked it!

Wonderland Creek by Lynn Austin ~ Austin does not disappoint... her books have always touched me and made me think. If you haven't read her, just pick up any of her books they are all a very good read. I do remember being very frustrated with our heroine at the beginning of this tale but if you were not, you would miss the point of the story!  Take a journey with Alice and see how stepping out of your comfort zone can be an exciting and wonderful journey you wouldn't want to miss!

A Heart Most Worthy by Siri Mitchell ~ I wish I could give you a more fresh description of this book but it has been a while.  That said I know it was a read I enjoyed. Mitchell is a wonderful writer and I always look forward to reading one of her books.  I do remember that I enjoyed the characters, their stories and the unfolding plot of the book.  She can weave a story and characters that are just so real and many times unforgettable.  Pick this one up!

A Lasting Impression (A Belmont Mansion Novel) by Tamera Alexander ~ Another author of who's books I have so enjoyed reading.  This was a really good one!  Some historical facts and fiction blended so perfectly... Romance and intrigue, a great read!

While We're Far Apart by Lynn Austin ~ So, I have to say that while Wonderland Creek was a good read this one was even better.  I so enjoy reading a book where I learn something new... spiritually and in other ways.  History fascinates me and WWII is a fascinating time... I loved the characters and the depth of the story.  The struggles and realities of life, loss, love, hope and change woven so beautifully.

The Lightkeeper's Ball (A Mercy Falls Novel) by Colleen Coble ~ Another good read from Coble. Some mystery, suspense, romance all wrapped up for you in the covers of this book.

Lilies in Moonlight by Allison Pittman ~  A Flapper, mansion, war veteran and baseball player come together to form an unforgettable journey you will want to read.  There is a beautiful story wrapped up in this book and characters that linger with you long after you have turned the last page.  Wonderful!

Lonestar Angel by Colleen Coble ~ Stepping out of the preceding norm and into contemporary fiction.  Welcome back to Texas and a story filled with mystery, romance, suspense and more.  I truly enjoyed this one and hope you will too.

Composing Amelia by Alison Strobel ~ Alison's ability to create such deep stories and characters is a gift.  This is another great read from her in a long line... Keep them coming!  The struggles that Amelia and Marcus go through are so real... some you can probably relate to and a few you can only imagine but it hits you and challenges you to go deeper and to love, forgive and be steadfast in your faith.  Are you clinging to the life you think you should have or are you embracing the one God has for you? Really,  I don't even have the words, except to say you should read this one!

Drum roll.... Introducing a new author for me and one that captured my attention and emotions... Sandi Rog. A friend recommended her first novel... She happens to know Sandi and mentioned what a great book this was and also she wanted to get Sandi all the support she could as she was diagnosed around this time with stage 4 T-cell Lymphoma.  The great news is after Sandi's second book, I believe it was, God answered prayers and hopes - Doctors couldn't find the cancer - it was in remission.  If you would like to read more on this check this link out, Click Here.  So I have to tell you that this book and then it's successor have been sitting in my pile of books to be read and I wish I would have gotten to them sooner but no matter when what a great read!

The Master's Wall (Iron and the Stone, Book 1) by Sandi Rog ~ I don't even have the words but I will try.  Beautiful, captivating, intriguing, fascinating, grabs you and won't let go... This story draws you immediately in and it is a journey that has it's ups and downs but is always gripping you and very hard to put down.  The characters struggles and lives are fascinating and rich and touching... You will hurt for them, cheer them on and find it to be an unforgettable story.  The characters will live on with you long after the last page where you hope they will come alive again in her next book.  You don't want to miss this one!  It is set in Rome around 76 AD.  Sandi's research is wonderful and you learn as you read, fascinating things about history and this time period.  Reminiscent of Francine Rivers' The Mark of the Lion series in the time setting and circumstances of that time for Christians and the Church, but a completely different story.  Both are fabulous reads.

YAHSHUA'S Bridge (Iron and the Stone, Book 2) by Sandi Rog ~ And the story continues! Yay!  Just as beautiful, captivating and intriguing as the first book.  I do have to say she had me afraid there with one theological aspect of the book but she worked it out through the story.  The characters just like us at times can have misconseptions on their faith and salvation.  But rest assured that when we are saved we are held firm in the hands of Christ, no one can snatch us away and there is no sin the Bible tells us too big, (other than blaspheming the Holy Spirit) that we cannot be forgiven of.  Great is our God and his love, grace and mercy are amazing!  Thank Him that He is always with us and is always waiting for us to turn to Him.  I also thank Him for the gift that He gave to Sandi Rog to write this series and to us to be able to read it.  I am sure her own faith journey through very difficult circumstances helped shape this story.  I am so grateful that she was open to Him to be the moldable clay and let Him shape this story and trust Him to work out the out come not only for the book but for her life as well.  Another great read!

Ok, that is it for today - whew!  I am FINALLY getting to Francine Rivers most recent series... It has been waiting in my pile and I am so eager to read it!  She is such a gifted writer.
