The Witness

In Dee Henderson’s book The Witness you follow the story of Amy who has been on the run for eight years after witnessing a terrible crime. Really the main characters are actually the cops in this book: Police Chief Luke Granger and his homicide detectives Connor and Marsh. With two story lines unfolding that could intertwine, romance budding, and danger you will want to keep reading.

I did find the first part of the book that introduces the characters and story line to be a little slower reading but then it really picks up… My one complaint is that I feel like there should be a follow-up book! Sigh but it was like that with the last book in her O’Malley series too. You just want to know how things work out with the characters a little more in-depth. However, that is a credit to her ability to write characters you care about.
