Two Testaments (Book 2, Secrets of the Cross Trilogy) by Elizabeth Musser

The saga continues in Two Testaments! If you have not read Book 1, Two Crosses then stop and read it first. We pick up in Book 2, shortly after where things ended in Book 1. There is certainly plenty of drama, suspense and spiritual food to keep the pages turning. This is not a light read but is a good read. I enjoyed learning about these places and the things that happened in history, sad as it may be.

The characters and plot will pull you in and open your eyes to things not just historically or morally but also to introspection. As the characters struggle with learning that God's ways are not ours. And even when our circumstances seem so dim and horrible, God is on His throne and He is good. Waiting on Him is hard but it is something worthwhile. But most of all looking to the Person of God and at His love. God does bring beauty from ashes, He heals and redeems. God is the One who does the impossible and His own story is a love story. A story about a God and His people... All this to say that if you are looking for a deeper read and one that will minister to you and feed your mind, as well as your soul - this is a good book for you!
