Undercover Pursuit (Missions of Mercy series, Book 3) by Susan May Warren

Book Description:

The only way to get security agent Luke Dekker to a wedding? An undercover mission as groomsman. He'll bust the groom, a drug cartel heir, before anyone can say "I do." Then Luke can escape all this love and romance nonsense—and the too pretty bridesmaid/agent assigned as his "fiancĂ©e" for the weekend. Until Luke discovers that sweet, vulnerable Scarlett Hanson isn't his contact. Isn't an agent. Isn't trained for the high-stakes mission now trapping them both. And worse, Luke's falling for her—which is not part of the assignment.

I enjoyed the premise of the story... it's cute, fun and an adventure!  Just imagining a "normal" gal, a book worm even, getting pulled into all this intrigue and action is exciting!  One of the themes in this book is to forget the past and to press on to what lies ahead.  To press into Jesus and His love, grace and mercy.  Accept & believe in His forgiveness and forgive yourself too!

It was interesting the battle Luke was caught in, needing Scarlett's help and at the same time wanting to push her away and keep her safe.  Meanwhile, Scarlett struggles with seeing her own worth and not believing that others could value her for herself.  Lessons to be learned in trusting and letting perfect love cast out all fear.

This was a very nice wrap up to the series! Exciting, fun and romantic! I enjoyed the cameo appearances of the other characters from previous books.  I am just sad to see it all come to an end!
